The Beginning: My Peace Wall

I thought today was a good day to start this adventure: It is my birthday and birthdays should be times of new beginnings. I want to share my thoughts and dreams.
People everywhere want the same thing. They just give it
different names
.
Confusion and fear get in the way
of understanding each other . How
do you get past fear? People act so
badly when they do not understand.
How do you stop fear? What do you
do about someone else’s fear when it
is coming towards you. How do you
direct it away? If they only see disability
( and differences) how do you
get them to see anything else? I think that education and living so
people see that the difference between
us is really no difference at all.
This is the beginning of Peace.
I began my Peace Wall after reading
Thich Nhat Hahn’s Creating True
Peace. He spoke of the U.N. Manifesto
declaring 2001-2010 as the International
Decade for the Culture of
Peace and Non-violence for the Children
of the World. After reading the
six points of the Manifesto, I began to
create a “Peace Wall” with the goals
of the Manifesto. The Peace Wall is
made up of pictures of living people
who are working in their own ways,
small or large scale to create world
peace and understanding
